I picked up this triple-wrapper Salomon mostly out of curiosity — you don’t see many cigars wrapped in Habano, Candela, and Connecticut all in one. First off, presentation is top-notch. The pattern on this vitola is stunning — it’s a conversation starter for sure. The construction was solid, with an even burn despite the complexity of the wrappers and shape.
From the first draw, I got a blast of smooth creaminess from the Connecticut and a grassy sweetness from the Candela — very mellow and aromatic. As I moved into the middle third, the Habano started to kick in with some earthy spice and pepper, giving it a nice progression. By the final third, it settled into a more medium-full experience, with stronger leather and coffee notes.
Transitions were smooth, although the flavor shifts might not be for everyone. Some puffs felt a bit unbalanced, especially during the wrapper transitions, but nothing too distracting. The draw was surprisingly easy for a Salomon, and the ash held on beautifully.
